You can rediscover the importance of creating something with your hands. To instill one's own emotions into clay may become a therapy for your soul, other than letting you get a more thorough knowledge of a type of craftsmanship that is many centuries old in Umbria. Thanks to a skilled ceramic artist, Monica Grelli, you will be given the opportunity to discover and apply an ancient Umbrian tradition - pottery - by modeling clay with your own hands, and creating something original and unique. Monica, who has a qualification as an art therapist, will be able to tutor you during the whole creative process; that does not simply entail its technical sides, but involves your feelings, your personality. Surrounded by a fascinating Medieval workshop with an Etruscan well inside, you will find out how much in depth creator and creation do merge. This experience is not reserved to people who already have developed manual skills, but to anybody who wishes to experience things first-hand, or "get their hands dirty". It will anyway grant you a direct approach to the history and traditions of craftsmanship in Perugia and Umbria. In the workshop it will also be possible to ask for your works to be sent you at home.
